Auth or Author

Auth or Author

Okay, it has come to my attention that we need to get a petition started, going against Wikipedia and Webster’s Dictionary. Since I have started this amazing endeavor in writing books it has come to my attention that we need to change the definition of what an author is.

When I discuss with other people the topic of my book, The Truckers Nightmare, which has now been published and made accessible to the public for sale, it sounds odd and actually makes me feel a little weird when they say “Oh! You are an ‘author’. I actually cringe a little.

To me and I am sure the thousands of authors out there (even though I haven’t reached that status yet— to be explained later) the definition has not been properly portrayed.

In truth, an author should be one such as Stephen King, Angela Hoy, Nevada Barr, Frank Peretti, Michael Crichton, Clive Cussler, and so— so many more fabulous writers who have successfully labored, written (with sweat and tears), TWO or MORE books, while sacrificing their lives in eating ramen noodles and drinking rain water from the gutter spout, while trying to make ends meet. Now we can add to the list anyone who writes articles, songs, poems, historical documents, and any other published writings. These are the great ones, who are lifted up on pedestals by the public, where food, drinks, gold and silver are laid before them. It is the place where people look up to these majestic life changing entities, as the public throws themselves (with or without clothes on) at the great imaginaries of our society to pay homage to the sacrifice that the great writers have made for us.

We need to go to ChangeWikipediaNow.com (NOT a real web page) and to StopTheMADNESS@WebterDictionary.com (also NOT a real web page) to change this cruel misinterpretation.

The NEW word that MUST be submitted and enforced into the Writers World and around the globe is… Auth!

The definition for Auth is to be: One who has written and published a- or -one song, poem, document, or book, etc. in a semi-successful or successful manor.

This way when One such as myself… even though I am as well laboring on my second and third books at this time, when approached, or in the midst of a conversation, when the topic comes up, and they say “Oh, you are an Author!”

“No, I am not.”

“Wait, I am sorry! You are an Auth!”

So lets join forces in getting this atrocious injustice corrected, so our famous AUTHORS can receive the true respect that they so deserve!
